I am a huge fan of Turkey, Turkish service and Turkish hotels. If you want to go somewhere to sunbathe and enjoy 7/10/14 days and don’t think about anything, especially not about whether you will have enough money until the end of your holiday – Turkey is the right choice for you, especially now, at the end of the summer when the prices are significantly lower.
The truth is that you will spend more money initially but from the moment your trip starts everything is included in the price and you don’t need a penny more.
In the last 5-6 years I have stayed in a number of Turkish hotels and have had great service in each and every one of them. Based on my personal experience, here are my top 5:
1. Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort
This luxury resort is set on a golf course and has both indoor and outdoor swimming pools with toboggans, a private sandy beach and luxury spa centre that includes massages, sauna and a steam room. The service this resort offers is ultra all-inclusive and within the resort there are à-la-carte restaurants, a snack bar and patisserie, as well as an open air theatre, a disco, tennis courts with lighting, swimming pool for surfing and swimming pool with waves. There is also Chelsea Soccer School for kids.
Antalya airport is 28km away from the resort and there is free parking provided.
2. Kaya Palazzo Resort
This resort is set on the coast and has its own beach that’s 200m long and there are free umbrellas and sun loungers. The hotel has a big garden and a number of swimming pools with or without toboggans, as well as a golf course.
When it comes to recreational activities, besides golf, you can enjoy a game of tennis, table tennis, darts and diving. There are 5 à-la-carte restaurants that offer menus from different cuisines – from traditional Turkish dishes to international specialities.
The airport is about 30 minutes away by car and the centre of Belek is 6km away from the hotel.
3. Mardan Palace
This is a truly magnificent resort. It is too aggressively luxurious for my taste, but definitely top quality. It has one of the biggest outdoor swimming pools in Europe with an aquarium and fountains in the middle. There are eight à-la-carte restaurants where you can find Russian, French, Thai, Japanese and Mediterranean specialities. Mardan Palace has its own beach and the luxury of rooms goes without saying. The spa centre offers exotic therapies; there is a modern fitness centre and a meditation room that is overlooking the indoor pool.
The airport is just 10km away from the hotel.
4. Adam & Eve
The best choice for young couples who like futuristic design. This hotel is completely white and resembles a mental institution a bit (not that I have ever been in one, but that’s how people describe it) but staying here is a really special experience. All the rooms have walls that are covered with mirrors and floor-to-ceiling windows and are furnished with modern white furniture and whirlpool bath tubs. Guests have 9 different restaurants at their disposal, out of which one is Japanese. One of the restaurants offers a really amazing experience – dining in complete darkness.
The airport is about 30 minutes away by car.
5. Amara Dolce Vita
This resort is probably the most complete out of all that I have seen and it’s the best choice for families with children. Surrounded by pine forests and The Taurus Mountains, the hotel has its own 630m long beach where you can relax on loungers with baldachins, it has a big wellness centre and recreational and sports swimming pools. You can also enjoy the aqua park, 6 swimming pools with fresh water and one swimming pool with sea water.
Not only are there numerous restaurants and bars where you can enjoy delicious meals, light snacks and refreshing drinks, but there is also an ice cream bar next to the pools. And it’s all included in the price!
The hotel is situated in Kemer, very posh coastal town and it is farthest from the airport – it takes 1,5 hours to get there, but it is worth it!
